WHO IS "THE SNAKE MAN"?
Clint Pustejovsky aka "The Snake Man" has had a fascination for snakes since he was 5 years old and saw his first puff adder at a park with his dad. His dad told him there were "good snakes and bad snakes" and that started it. He checked books out of the library and by the third grade had read every reptile and amphibian book at our local library. At the age of 11, spurred by a local Science and Nature Scientist, he began to catch and handle all types of snakes and the rest is history.
Today he and his wife, Michelle, continue to study snakes and their benefits to the ecosystem and human beings through the most current reports, books and by working with other professionals in the field. His college degree is in communication, and he continually hones his public speaking skills by entertaining and educating audiences from preschoolers to retirees.
The Snakes of Texas Exhibit includes a number of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, along with 2-3 that are "safe to handle" by all who pass by the booth. Clint and his wife answer questions and lead seminars on understanding, identifying and explaining how to live with snakes in our locale.
